The dreaded words that none of us like to hear, “you look tired.” Sadly, because of those dark circles or bags that appear under our eyes, it makes us look tired and not so vibrant.
There are reasons for this though; water retention, allergies, toxins or hormones. Luckily there are ways you can prevent them though, as well as ways to treat them.
Prevention
Try eating two kiwis a day in yoghurt.
Drink plenty of water. It helps to flush out toxins and reduces water retention.
Reduce your salt intake.
Natural Remedies
Place cotton wool soaked in milk under the eyes. The lactic acid helps reduce puffiness and darkness.
Wear protective eye wear or goggles, fill with water and freeze. Place on the eyes.
Freeze a couple of spoons. Rest on the eyes until they’re no longer cold.
Slice a small piece off a potato, cut the slice in half. Put each slice under your eyes for 20 minutes.
Place two lemon slices directly onto your bags or circles. After 20 minutes rinse off with cold water.
Soak two cucumbers in lemon juice for 3-5 minutes. Place on the eyes for 10-15 minutes.
